Course Objectives
You will learn:
-A basic overview of understanding legal documents
-Types of legal business matters that do not necessarily require an attorney
-Intellectual property issues you need to keep in mind - both protecting what is yours and not infringing on others
-Situations that could set you up for legal exposure, including lawsuits

Course Outcomes
At the conclusion of completing this class:
-You will have a greater understanding of legal documents, including terminology.
-You will know some basic steps you can take to protect your business’ interests.
-You will be able to anticipate potential legal issues that your company could someday face.
-You will be able to identify business matters that can be handled without an attorney.
-You will be able to identify situations in which you should hire an attorney, and what to expect if you do.
