NEW! Yoga Fundamentals image

Yoga has the power to calm the mind and strengthen the body in order to increase vitality. Yoga is meant to be inclusive and welcoming! No experience is required as this is an all levels class meaning beginners to those with a regular practice are welcome and will be accommodated!

During this 6-week session, you will learn the building blocks of vinyasa yoga: yoga and postures. We will learn about breath and linking the breath to asanas (postures).  We will also develop the beginnings of a meditation practice.  We will explore the use of props as well. Yoga creates space for inner transformation, supports the nervous system, reduces stress/anxiety,, builds strength, and increases resilience.

What to Bring: your yoga mat, water bottle, and a willing heart.  Props will be provided (straps, blocks, bolsters), but if you have your own, you are more than welcome to bring them along.

Class will meet on the below dates and is a collaboration with campus credit students and non-credit community participants.

Wednesdays 5-5:50pm; June 26 - July 31, 2024

•   June 26

•   July 3, 10, 17, 24, 31
